What to do With Day Old Bread: Homemade Herb Croutons

What You Will Need:

  1. Extra virgin olive oil

  2. Vignalta Herb Salt or your favorite selection of herbs

  3. Sea salt

  4. Bread loaf

  5. Large paper bag

  6. Baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400'

  2. Cut bread into cubes equally in size using a serrated knife.

  3. Place in paper bag.

  4. Liberally pour olive oil onto bread cubes and shake bag to distribute.

  5. Sprinkle seasoning and shake simultaneously; repeat if needed.

  6. Place seasoned bread onto a baking sheet.

  7. Bake for 8 minutes.

  8. Toss croutons every 2-3 minutes until golden brown.

You can also use this recipe to make breadsticks or even grind bread to make bread crumbs!
