This recipe is a small batch to fill 4 empty Kombucha bottles It easily can be doubled, tripled....
Ingredients:
1 cup Strong Brewed Coffee
2 cups Cane Sugar
2 1/2 cups Filtered Water
750 ml. Bottle White Rum
3 TBL. Vanilla extract & 1 Vanilla Bean split opened
Directions:
I save my kombucha bottles, sanitize before using , place in the dishwasher, Perfect for bottling the Kahlua. You can use whatever sanitized glass bottle of your choice.
Brew very strong coffee, Type typically used Arabica or Espresso, I have used Columbian, add sugar dissolving completely, then cool.
In a large glass vessel (with tight lid) add sugared brewed coffee, Rum, water & vanilla, Mix altogether.
Cover with tight fitting lid and let sit to meld flavors 4-6 weeks, make sure not to leave in a hot place. Taste after 4 weeks if you love the flavor then ready to bottle but can leave another two weeks if needed for full melding.
Time to bottle, remove vanilla beans. Using a funnel fill bottles.
Store up to 3 years no refrigeration required.
