Heidi's Blog- Licata's Soup Party

One of our favorite things to do is to host a soup party. (Soup, chili, chowder, bisque or stew). The way it works is that we invite some foodie friends and when they rsvp to let us know which pot of goodness they want to bring. ( If we have enough soups then we ask for an appetizer dish). After receiving confirmation of what guest are bringing I add to the menu board. Most guest bring a bottle of wine to share. We provide a great party setting with appetizers and dessert and plenty of libations. This was our second soup party. This gathering was totally organized. Super fun and amazing soups/appetizers were to be had. After all our bellies are full and much laughter and socializing, and our guest are ready to depart we provide “To Go Containers”. I cant tell you how wonderful it is to have another taste the next day. I hope this idea inspires you and your friends to have a soup party. If you do take pictures and please send to me. So I can add to my blog!

I love making my invitations. Being creative is so much fun. This is a wonderful and personal touch. Don’t you love the sprig of fresh rosemary? I attached each sprig with cooking twine. Also we have “To Go Containers” and it’s optional for our guest to bring copies of their recipes to share. Mine is easy just go to this (my) website to find my Coconut curry shrimp soup and for my Spiked Chocolate Pudding Recipe. Enjoy!
